Sentinel Prime has appeared in...

G1 comics: former Autobot leader and guardian of the Matrix, slain in battle and passed the Matrix onto Optimus Prime.


Dreamwave Comics (The War Within): Megatron killed Sentinel Prime with his bare hands in an attempt to retrieve the Matrix, which Sentinel didn't have on him at the time (as he suspected that Megatron would do that). The Matrix, in the safe-keeping of the Autobot Council, was passed onto Optimus Prime.


The Keepers Trilogy (novels): Sentinel Prime never actually appeared in these books, but the Matrix did induce visions of him to Optimus Prime and later the aliens known as the Keepers created a duplicate of Sentinel Prime (who was an a-hole). I didn't enjoy reading the first book and haven't read the other 2.

IDW (Megatron Origin): Autobot commander, lead a campaign to counter the rise of the Decepticons (via illegal underground gladiatorial fights). Was killed by Megatron.

Animated: A member of the Cybertron Elite Guard under the command of Ultra Magnus. Former rival to Optimus Prime whom he served with at the Autobot Academy. afaik this is the only Transformer bearing the name "Sentinel Prime" who's ever appeared in animation.


afaik there was never any Transformer in the G1 cartoon specifically bearing the name "Sentinel Prime" nor has it been retconned so in any official canon that I'm aware of.
