    Default Well, i crumbled!!!

Hey guys, i recently bought an Encore Optimus Prime. I really didnt want to as i am completely Optimused out. What i mean by that is i love the guy but he just gets reissued so many times that im beginning to hate the sight of him. Anyway it was for that reason that i didnt, until my recent purchase, have one of him in my collection. I crumbled and bought him as i got a good deal on one and for some weird reason no matter how many times he gets reissued his value just continues to climb every year. Anyway i wanted you all to know that i am weak.
    Tis all.

Dude... having just 1 G1 (1984) Optimus Prime is not weakness. If anything you've now acquired what many fans consider a "must-have" toy for every G1 collection.

    I have too many Optimus Primes (and there are lots of people with more than me!) - you don't have a problem w h a t s o e v e r .

Well, he arrived and i must say that while hes a nice figure i think i got duped. This is the auction i won.

Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the optimus shown and the actual Encore?
Im still happy i have him though and i really dig the Encore boxes. Very G1.
By the way, please be VERY wary of this seller. He charged me $20 postage and the postage only came to $7.70 and in a very terrible box which had holes in it and looked like it came from the back of a supermarket. Betty Crocker is written all over it! I complained and he sent me an email basically saying 'Get F##ked', so i threatened to send his email to ebay and Paypal and the next day i had a refund in my Paypal account.
    Yay for me!!

So was the toy not really factory sealed as it says in the description? As I've said before, the seller is a bit of a twat, he always overcharges on shipping and can't package a toy for $#!*.

No, he was MISB but Encore prime doesnt have blue eyes or blue windows. He used New Years prime pictures.

Dude, you had the charges all up front. I would have expected to pay $109.99 for that toy, in which case I would have then gone and gotten one from robot kingdom for $50usd.

Optimus Prime is an icon. Recognisable and the flagship character that embodies what the autobots strive for. For me anyway.

No need to feel bad. It is an excellent figure with very high play value. I couldn't have just one neither, hence I've picked up Pinkimus Prime to go with my Encore version. My Optimus Prime shrine is growing.
