Was there ever a reason given as to why the majority of G2 characters in the comics were mostly still coloured like G1?
The fleetway comics get my thumbs up for being colour accurate![]()

Because with a few exceptions most G1 characters looked crap in G2 colours. Do you really want to see Grimlock in blue?! (no offence to iceburn's avatar)Originally Posted by roller

Griffin - thanks for the links and info. had a read thru and after seeing all the takara/hasbro/date/copyright stamp variations, i think that both my grimys are legit. however, now i think my snarl might be one of those chinese re-release from the 90's though...
TF Figs of 2024:
1) Legacy Magmatron
2) Legacy Gears
3) SS102 RotB Optimus
Why aren't Takara doing Animated figures.....or are they?![]()
I dunno... why didn't Hasbro do Beast Wars Neo? :/
The fact is that sometimes Hasbro and Takara will cooperate to simultaneously develop a line for both markets whereas at other times they will develop TF toys & lines exclusively for their own market. Sometimes one will decide to later import toys and/or lines from the other's market over to their own.
Examples of lines cooperatively developed for both markets:
G1 (mostly)
G2
Armadaverse
Some examples of toys/lines developed exclusively for one market and never used by the other:
Small Pretenders (Hasbro)
Small Targetmasters (Hasbro)
Trainbots (Takara)
Pretender Beasts, Vehicles and Ultra Pretenders (Hasbro)
Beast Wars II/Neo (Takara)
Transformers Animorphs (Hasbro)
Some examples of toys/lines developed by one company and later used by the other:
Overlord (Takara -> Hasbro)
Beast Machines (Hasbro -> Takara)
Car Robot (Takara -> Hasbro)
Classics (Hasbro -> Takara)
Animated is obvious a TF line that has been developed by Hasbro... whether TakaraTOMY will want to adapt it for their market (which would also require dubbing the cartoon over*) remains to be seen. Quite a few Japanese fans have already been importing Animated TFs from overseas and posting toy reviews.
Just an assumption but...you'd definitely think TakTom would want to dub the cartoon as the product is already there and a proven hit and costs would be minimal for the dub.
It's by all means feasible for TakaraTOMY to import Animated over for the Japanese market but afaik they've made no announcement in regards to it so until then it's impossible to determine whether or not TakaraTOMY are considering Animated for their market or not.
does anyone know what i'm suppose to do with the gunclip on the g1 jetfire...
Surprisingly you use it to clip the gun onto Jetfire's forearm. Works in all modes.Originally Posted by jgon2098
Negative. Beast Wars only had 26 episodes and it was dubbed into Japanese. After Beast Wars II and BW Neo they then dubbed BW Seasons 2 and 3 - with a combined total of 26 episodes - as Beast Wars Metals.Originally Posted by SilverDragon
