Hey I got a original G1 Sideswipe, it doesn't have a rub sign. Is there a difference between pre-rub and rub?

    TF Wiki says no: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Sideswipe_(G1)

Also be aware that rub signs can fall off.

Anyone here know if the black 'skid plate' underneath G1 Sunstreaker is meant to lock into place when in car mode? Thankfully mine is stiff enough that it won't drop (get your minds out of the gutter) but it doesn't lock or clip into place.

    Cheers!

It doesnt have a specific clip to lock into place, but rather the inner U of the plate is kept in place with the black "plastic piece"( for lack of a better term) that forms part of the head/seat block. While the 2 outer winglet like protruberance on the sides of the plate fits thru the groove of the arms of Sunstreaker. I guess its better explained with pics..... but Im too lazy to take some now. But when you do transform him in car mode, just press the black plateon the upper part of the U shape ( both upper part) and youl feel it lock in place no need for a peg and hole actually which is quite ingenious.

I think I know what you're getting at here. I have tried to push the inner U of the plate so that the head/seat block protrudes through the middle somewhat however the U shape doesn't appear wide enough for it to fit.

I don't want to force it or shave it so it does fit. If it were a newer figure I wouldn't mind attempting this.

Thanks for the response liege. At least I know I'm not going insane

Actually that's how it keeps it in place since the middle U isn't as wide enough the head/seat block the tightness keeps it from dropping down. It wont break ( well mine hasn't) just push one side first then the other. It hasn't snapped the plate in my Sunstreaker at all and this one ain't new as well.

so I just got the Beast Wars Omnibus today... was very short the source book makes up most of the damn thing so I was wondering is there any more comics with a Beast Wars setting or a comic that features the Beasts.
Dream's to own MP Prime and MP Grimlock will most likely stay a dream..

OK, I just got the Terrorcons. Any official purpose to Cutthroat's articulation where the robot legs can fold back on a slight angle?

I looked up the instructions and the alt mode has them un-bent, but I'm guessing the alt mode is what this joint is for, not for any limb mode or anything else.

Also, Blot's 'backpack' has a peg to attach his robot gun. It also has a heap of holes in it. Are they there for any purpose? Like combining with all the other terrorcon's guns or something? I don't have any weapons yet so can't quite tell.
