The $200 ones were probably the Beast Wars 2 pirate Seacons, as opposed to the more common, non-Japanese-only normal Seacons.

Hi guys, I have another question. For Masterpiece figures, do the Hasbro releases get released in Australia? If not, do you think is it more worth it overall to import the Takara or the Hasbro releases?

I'm asking this because I'm unsure if the Hasbro releases can be cheaper and worth the wait if they still have to be imported. Thanks!

I think we have always got the Hasbro Masterpieces here as Toys'R'Us exclusives at roughly double the cost of the USA RRP (which is not unusual for Transformers). Some of the Takara Masterpieces have been released as exclusives through Target at roughly the same cost or less as it would be to import them - but the quality control was really bad.

Only MP Starscream was released here as a TRU exclusive. 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime and the DVD version of that toy were released across different chains. As Tober said, some Takara(TOMY) Masterpieces -- specifically Ultra Magnus and MP Convoy w/ trailer - were released here as Target exclusives. I've read reports of MP Skywarp being released here as a Toyworld exclusive -- but I've never seen it in Sydney and I don't recall off hand any reported sightings in NSW.

They've been hanging around in Toyworlds over here for about 8+ months.
