Yeah. eBay is basically where people buy stuff then sell them for MUCH higher prices and then the prices gradually go up and up.
That's why I like online stores that little bit better.
Sometimes on eBay, you can find a couple bogans that give you complete bargains.
Even bidding gets outrageous.
Some lesser known retailers probably still have one of the two, you just have to look hard.![]()
You could always take off the leg kibble off the ball joint and stick on the legs and just get someone to get you a head from MP TC.
Check this out:

Good point.
Yeah, probably just lose the kibble altogether. That's what I'd do.
You could repaint the eyes as well, if you want them to match ever so slightly more.![]()
Thats what i do with the old mold. The new ones i keep on a seperate shelf. Thats my OCD kicking in![]()
Personally, I think it's fine and I quite like that all three seekers have a slightly different look to them. Here's a picture of my three together.
I'm not game enough to try a DIY kibble modification but you could repaint SW's eyes red (one of the most obvious differences) and paint his chest fans grey. I already added grey to TC's null rays to add a bit of visual interest.
Seriously... I was eating a bowl of muesli (low joule late night snack) while I read your post, and I literally dribbled some soy milk out my mouth and down my front! Just finished wiping myself clean with tissue paper!

(thankfully the drops were little and my wife who's sitting right behind me watching TV hasn't notice![]()
) Aww man... there's half chew bits of oats on my right thigh... *discreetly.scrapes.off*
And now my eyes and nose are welling up as I'm holding back the laughter and maintaining a poker face! That's the best "withheld chuckle" I've had in a long time!
I'm actually somewhat surprised that Optimus Prime has inflated so badly (or well from a seller's POV). The original G1 Optimus Prime has got to be the single most reissued toy ever... you'd think with both Hasbro and Takara/TOMY having pumped so many of them into the market that it'd put relieve inflationary pressure on the aftermarket price of this figure. I guess the aftermarket demand for this figure just must be that high... which is kinda odd, because I don't recall any of these toys necessarily flying off shelves when they were out.
