Transformers questions by newbies, and not-so-newbies

I'm catching up on the IDW comics and currently working through RID and MTMTE. There seem to he some gaps in the story, Ironhide + the Dinobots and Galvatron's anti-chaos crusade are the ones that first come to mind.

What do I need to pick up to fill these story arcs?

I must be one of a very few people that thought that Maximum Dinobots was just ok. It was a decent story, but not the masterpiece that people make it out to be.

*edit* one more thing while I'm on topic, I got to spoilers Starscream becoming ruler of Cybertron and kicking a bunch of Autobots and Decepticons out of their refugee city. Where does it go from that to The Windblade comic with Metroplex and the Caminus visitors?

It happens during the MTMTE & RID converging storylines of Dark Cybertron. Happened in comic book terms a fair few issues back now so I wouldnt worry too much about it being a spoiler

I still can't get over Grimlock's red hands in the IDW comics. So... weird.

Just wanted to verify... are these new MP grimlocks sold at TRU with a coin? Coz I remember it being posted at facebook that TRU in pHils came with a freebie coin - King Grimlock. This one a real coin not like that crown coin that was sold a few months ago...
