The toy photography in Transformers Generations is superb IMO. Even TFwiki uses scans from this book for almost all of their G1 & G2 toy pics.

Thanks a lot man. I don't have access to mine at the moment, and I thought the info would be easy to find on the net. But my Google-fu failed me.

I hate it when the public holidays are like this - working one day after a weekend, then public holiday. It really throws off my weekly working clock/schedule. I almost took today off and made it a 4 day weekend - but we're too busy at work.

The 1985 one with say, Whirl, Roadbuster, Omega supreme etc. is 59.7 cm (23.5") long and 21.3 cm (8 and 5/16") wide.

The reinforcements from Cybertron with power dashes and time warrior 38.3 (15 and 1/8") long and 14.4 (5 and 5/8") wide.

Can't seem to find any of my '84 ones sorry.

1984: 30.4 cm long and 21.4 cm tall
1985: 59.8 cm long and 21.3 cm tall
1986: 60.2 cm long and 21.5 cm tall
1987: 59.4 cm long and 21.5 cm tall
1988: 59.4 cm long and 21.4 cm tall
1989: 43.0 cm long and 17.1 cm tall
1990: 42.1 cm long and 17.2 cm tall

That covers all the US G1 toys. There was no catalogue in the 1991 toys (AM Elites, Motorvators). The next two catalogues (the Turbomasters/Predators one and the Colour changers/Lightformers etc) came in various sizes and aren't immediately at hand.

1989: 42.3cm(L) x 17cm(B)

And if I average it with Paulbot and UltraMackness' measures (where applicable and around the figures up to 1 decimal point), we get...

I'm finally at the stage where I have the room to buy a few Detolfs, so I wanted something to hang behind the wall above them, and I was thinking about using the old product catalogues in a frame or something.

Heh. I couldn't find my tape measure, so I was using a standard 30cm wooden ruler, which meant that I had to shift it and I may be a millimetre or so off due to the shift. Also, the condition of the catalogue may also affect its measurement. I measured two different 1984 catalogues, one was heavily creased and even torn along some creases, the other is in fairly good condition, and they both gave me slightly different results (only by a few mm).

I'm going to find my tape measure when this discussion is long forgotten.
