Yeah, there are just so many reasons for me not to preorder this item. I want it MISB so barrel plug or having customs open it is a disincentive. Getting it confiscated and wasting over $300 is another possibility. Worse outcomes include massive fine if i can't be bothered filling out the forms to import.

I guess i'll never know what it's like to own a G1 Megatron.

I totally get your concern, although it's an incredibly low risk these days as griffin said, but still a risk nonetheless.
There's always keeping an eye out for one locally though and might be worth making a WTB post here and elsewhere. Especially if it doesn't have to be that exact G1 Megatron, as there have been a few different releases/reissues of the mould over the years.

You could make a Transformers collection post on the regular board section and separate collection posts about your other toy collections in the relevant sections. Same would go for things like TMNT, Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Wrestling etc. I think that the main part of the board should just be for Transformers, and posts about other brands can be made elsewhere. JMO.

Keep an eye on Amazon.com.au. They have almost every single main-line Transformers figure sooner or later.

Anyone able to provide a reference to ToyBotImportz?

I just gave them $20 for a figure listed on pre-order (MMC Optus Nox) that released in January 2022 and is sold out everywhere.

Has my $20 gone to purgatory forever, or can I expect that they'll actually get the figure in stock at some point?
