It looks legitimate to me - and looks like a good item too.

Oh well. Missed out on that one...
What would I expect to pay for a decent G1 grimlock anyway? For example, is this one ok?

    link

Could/Should I wait for something better and cheaper?

    Thanks in advance!

My recommendation is, unfortunately, don't buy a G1 Grimlock these days unless it looks kind of old/well loved. When it's loose and minty it could easily be a Chinese knockoff or have knockoff parts. And if you're buying one with a box, make sure you never get one with 'DINOBOT BOMMANDER' written on the front. In this case you probably could find something cheaper, but at least this one looks authentic.

    Try this:

    http://www.hasbro.com/common/instruc...al_Optimus.pdf

(sorry if the link doesn't work but cutting and pasting the address should be fine)

It's what I used when I got my Optimal Optimus.

    Three questions;

    1. What are the fold out things under the lower arms of g1 eject and rewind? Do they serve a purpose?

    2. I'm trying to display soundwave in bot mode with buzzsaw on his left arm raised in the air (gun in his right) but his upper body keeps slouching forward. Anyone know how to get around this?

    3. Besides different flame stickers and the metal feet, are there any other differences between original g1 targetmaster hot rod and the tfc reissue?

Are you talking about their hands?

If your soundwave is kinda vintage like my irginal one you might need to spread his feet so they face opposite directions a bit thus stabilizing his upper torso for your desired pose, if that doesnt work, try a bit of blu tack.

Feet pointing outward is what I like to call the "Hanna Barbera stance."

Yeh it is the original g1, but it's a solid figure, no looseness. I've tried pointing the feet outward \ / instead of l l and it does help to some extent, but not enough to force an upright standing position. He's fine without buzzy, but loses the coolness factor without that little birdy on his arm ready to take off.

Gok, I meant the little fold out things circled in the image below.

...or are those really his hands?
