I actually saw a classic a couple of months ago in Nowra (I'll give everyone a moment to sit down from the shock) My wife and I were at wollies buying some lunch stuff on the way to her parents and in the checkout next to us there was a young mum and a young boy. The boy was begging his mum for one of the "impulse buy" choclates at the register and the Mum quite loudly said "No you can't have it because I only have $7 left am I getting a Woodstock". Nearly all the checkouts stopped and just looked in disbelief.
