Does anyone know if we are the only Western nation to have this kind of censorship?

Yup, wikileaks is getting lots of traffic.

Electronic Frontiers Australia (EFA) was also down earlier today thanks to the traffic caused by news of the blacklist leak.

Is the EFA affiliated with, or just inspired by the EFF?

    Answered my own question:

Electronic Frontiers Australia (EFA) is also completely independent from the USA’s Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF). EFA is not (and never has been) a subsidiary or affiliate of the USA EFF, although the two separate organisations share a number of goals. EFA is focused on issues directly affecting Australians, whereas EFF has an American focus. EFF’s role in the establishment of EFA was solely that of an advisory ally. We continue to liaise with EFF, and many other online civil liberties organisations around the world, on issues of mutual interest and potential benefit. EFA is a founding member of the Global Internet Liberty Campaign (GILC).

The fact that there is a list in the first place is a complete load.
If it happens, then the government has to shut up about China doing it

It will be bad news for us if we can't access the TFWiki because of Laser Cock.

so its still safe to look at porn without the police knocking on my front door... note:this is dripping with sarcasm ....

really! people should be able to make there own decisions about what they look at on the internet without the government looking over there shoulder. the government should be looking at how to stop the download of child porn and similar types of stuff and all the spam I keep getting about how i need to enlarge my penis and the daily bombardment of Viagra i now need for my enlarged penis.

If people want to stop porn being accessed by there 13 year sons, there are filters and setting you can use built into your browser and in google its self.
