Trunks; the Lego trains run on AAA batteries. I picked up a pack from Arizona on eBay, popped it into my Horizon Express with AAAs and away it went!

Btw which train/station did you see?

Thanks for the prompt response, sadly Amazon will not ship the sets to Australia (although it explicitly said they did on the order page!) and ebay prices after shipping end up worse than RRP here.

I saw the 60050 set with the single level station for $75, as well as 60051 passenger train for the $199. I have a feeling the 60052 freight engine set will be a Myer or TRU exclusive. I must admit I was excited as the only time I normally see trains are at TRU for about 25% more than RRP.

I've been waiting for 60050! I'll have to head to my nearby Big Ws...

I actually picked up two extra train power sets on eBay (both for the Horizon Express). One was local; someone was selling just the engine (along with motor) for 7939; I picked it up during the 20% off toys a few Sundays ago. Maybe take a look on eBay (or even Brickset)?

Been looking, but I really don't have the space (or finances) to start down the slippery slope, because as we all know, once you get a train set, then you need more track, lots more track, buildings and sets to make a more "realistic" setting and it snowballs from there!

A little off topic, but I've never owned a lego powered set, if I were to get a lego powered train from the USA, would I need to use a power point adapter to use it here, or are they battery powered?

    Cheers.
You can get a rechargeable battery. They work fine, but you need to get an AUS style power cable or a US-AUS adaptor.

TRU have the new non-movie Turtles sets. Shredder's Lair Rescue scanned up as $90. Couldn't see the Turtle Sub though
