Lego Sightings

Been looking, but I really don't have the space (or finances) to start down the slippery slope, because as we all know, once you get a train set, then you need more track, lots more track, buildings and sets to make a more "realistic" setting and it snowballs from there!

Yep, space is my biggest problem; I've got 5 powered sets, plus the non-powered Steam Engine and Maersk Loco, and a whole shit-tonne of buildings and road plates, but no where to put them.

It's mostly packed in big plastic tubs, ready to go for later on - my 'midlife crisis in a box' kit

Picked up 2x 60050 on trunk's tipoff:

That looks as cool as I thought it might. Although it's always a problem with the 'dolls house' buildings in Lego City.

For me the trickiest part (which isn't really evident in that photo) is building the second one as a "mirror image". Except for certain details like the ATM it's all built so both platforms are mirror images. I then modified it a little to make that central tower & combined roof (which wasn't hard).

Toys r us were busy stocking the shelves with new stuff incliding the city artic sets, the new GotG sets the newer Lego movie sets including bennys spaceship ($149.99) and Movie Ninja Turlte sets

Saw all the new Star Wars and Friends lego at Kmart tonight; the Star Destroyer scanned up at $200, disappointing since kmart is usually a smidge cheaper on lego than other shops.
