Yeah, you're right, it does have a purpose, looking up old friends etc, blogs are good for an outlet, when used correctly I have no problem with these things. I just get sick of things like "Random facebook idiot: just cooked a stir fry, yummy!!" or "Random facebook idiot: omg twilight is liek so AWESOMEZZ!!1! he's so HOT!!!1!!11" and like you said, the random twitter stuff that "celebrities" think we care about
