Seems Clash of the Titans receives very negative reviews... I was looking forward to it.

Took the missus and her boy to IMAX3D today. It was definately better than I thought it would be. A little Avatar-esque. Was cool

I watched Clash of the Titans tonight with the missus and Leader Class Bulkhead. I enjoyed it and thought the movie made some interesting commentaries about society and religion (though I don't think we can discuss it in much depth here, so let's just leave it at that).

    (minor spoilers)

I figured that they wouldn't have included the Talaria (winged sandals) - cos that would look rather silly in a live action movie - but I was looking forward to seeing the Nymphs deliver the other gifts for Perseus. Ah well.

I'm staying away from all reviews until after I see the movie. Going on Monday at my local... in 3D of course.

Really? I rather thought it tiptoed around such issue for the most part, and just delivered straight forward mythological heroics with very little dialog. not that I'm complaining. I rather enjoyed it too, as like Gi Joe last year it just provided pulp adventure action. And having a movie based on ancient mythology is a good excuse for larger than life action and characters.

Strange that a film called Clash of the Titans doesn't have any titans in it to actually have a clash...

Saw Clash of the Titans yesterday and I must say that I was quite satisfied with the remake.

To anyone thinking of going to see it, I would suggest skipping the 3D version and going straight for the 2D version.

A lot of the bad reviews are due to the 3D version of the film as it was 'converted' in post-production (unlike Avatar) and it's actually worse off for it. Just Google 'Clash of the Titans 3D' and you'll see what I am talking about.

We made a point of seeing it in good old 2D which seemed fine, I can only imagine how gaudy the 3D would look.

Though I forgot about it till now, I kinda wish Bubo the owl had been used more. Sure Bubo was seen briefly, and I was kinda hoping that Perserus or someone had smuggled the Owl to show up latter in the film, but no.

Ya gotta have Athenas magical owl!

the 3D was bad, many shots it looked like Liam's face was floating in front of his hair!

I was under the impression that this was filmed in 3D, having known otherwise I would have avoided seeing it in 3D.

Yea, now that I know it is the rubbish 3D transfer, I will see it in 2D. I remember the producers (or whoever) wanted Bay to do the same for the next movie, he said no because it looks crap.
