I actually intentionally bought the regular version due to the fact that it didn't have the gold chrome parts - building the Mk II one annoyed the hell out of me since you had to take extra precaution with the trimming of the gold chrome parts.

I didn't like the glossier red paint finish or want the display stand that came with the special edition anyway, so it was an easy choice (especially when the regular one cost me less than half what it would have set me back to get the special edition).

You are gonna have so much fun building it. Looking forward to what your thoughts are with the build and the playability.
I won't be tackling PG OO Raiser till at least after Xmas since the gf will be going overseas for a few weeks, giving me ample time to work on it properly.

I am itching to build it though - contemplated starting it last night, but I know that once I start on it, I'll probably want to sit and finish it (or build as much of it as possible, to the detriment of other things in life, like work, sleep and the gf )

I love the 00 Raiser, but happy enough with the MG, HG, and a few other versions of it I own (HCM Pro etc).

It's such a great design, but doesn't scale well in kit form. The MG is pretty fragile and difficult to pose. :/

I REALLY want the special edition Shin Musha.

    It's just so eye-catching.

Not really worthwhile spending the extra dosh if you intend on painting it anyway mate (not unless you want the display stand and the pain-in-the-behind-to-trim gold chrome parts)

Anyway, been working away the past week and have managed to finish assembling MG Astray Red Frame and MG Seven Sword G (been too lazy to take pics, but will do so when I can be bothered).

Stompy, you're totally right mate - Astray Red Frame is pure awesomeness! The build on him comprises of so many small parts, but at no point did I find them fiddly. Totally love the engineering on him - will probably get Blue Frame now (even though essentially it's pretty much the same build)

Seven Sword G was quite simple in comparison but was an enjoyable build nonetheless. I love the design of the circular joint connectors and the hollowed out areas where you can attach the LED units - just need to go out and get four of them now to light him up!

well I paint my Gundams to get rid of that plastic look and all the seam lines. It will be the same colors.
