In terms of just general cleanliness/hygiene, here's what works for me:
+ Store your Transformers in a way where there's minimal exposure to dust. I personally have a Transformers room - there's nothing else inside that room except for Transformers and people don't go inside that room except to view or handle Transformers. All bedrooms in my house are out of bounds for my cat. As a result there's very, very little dust in there due to minimal human and animal contact. This has been the best way I've found yet to combat dust (prevention's better than cure).
+ I also use an anti-static cleaning brush and cotton tips from time to time. I've heard some people use those aerosol air sprays (the ones that are used to clean keyboards) and apparently it works really well on toys, but I've personally not tried that myself. It would also be an expensive way to regularly clean your toys too.
