Hooray! On the rent side of things, they accepted my lesser increase offer. Lease is only for 6 months now, so might start packing and look for a new place to live.

On the venting side, I just got a handy dandy 10 inch laptop and the built in mouse pad is driving me insane. That and the squeaky space bar. Anyone got any tips on how to fix it? I am contemplating whether to fix it using the warranty yet. Is it worth it for just the space bar?

I'm pretty sure you can adjust the mousepad's sensitivity within the Control Panel on the computer if that is what is bothering you about the Mouse pad. As for the space-bar, considering that you recently just got it I'd advise AGAINST trying to remove the space bar yourself to inspect what could be wrong because you might void your warranty and would recommend that you should first contact the manufactering company to see what can be done about it before sending the laptop off to the factory for warranty repairs which could take days...

The origins to that signature came from a recent OTCA board game where I made a comment in Cris Crocker fashion talking about how everyone was trying to kill of Optimus and that they should leave them alone. Then I get a 'vivid' comment from Gok telling me that Thundercracker deserves much more attention than OP and had so much more potential...

...and now he's gone and photoshopped a pic of Cris and added a badge of a Photoshop badge and used it as his sig. Hmmm...

Phew... I feel better now. I thought I was responsible for that sig

Aww...ordered in the complete Season 1 of Oh! My Goddess! from the library...and have only received discs 4-6, with no renewals allowed 'cos they're on hold.
I really wanted to have an OMG marathon and hate watching series out of order.

Thats what I thought about the space bar as well. maybe I can put up with it until I have a decent break from uni.....

The mouse pad thing is just a general hate of this style methinks. My main peeve is trying to use the 'slide' option, when you slide your finger up and doen the side to scroll. Sometimes it goes and sometimes it dont, then sometimes it goes by itself... I think it still has some protector on it, which I can't get off, which may be hindering the usefulness somewhat.

Aside from that though, I think it's a fantastic little machine!

Mr Grasshopper, I feel your pain, I got into watchin Saiyuki from my local video store. They had Saiyuki reloaded vols 1-12 which I think was the whole series, and they had normal Saiyuki (different story though I believe) but it only started from vol 6. Where's my origin story dagnabbit!?!?!/!/???

I'm sick of these slimline 6 dvd cases companies put dvds in.
You have to virtually snap the disk in half just to get it out of the case, then when you do manage to get it out, even if you're lucky enough that the disk DIDNT snap, the CASE is broken instead.
Thank you so very much warner bros, thank you for making sure i have to buy either a replacement disk or case to hold it.
It's not enough that I bought the show rather then downloading it?

YES!!! This.... this is sooooo true How frustrating is it! I bought season 4 of Supernatural which is a 6 DVD case and it was like a surgical procedure to get the bloody discs out. I hate those damn cases

Was exiting a public car park today, stopped at the necessary stop sign point and then as I slowly edged the car out of the driveway at a very slow speed of less than 2km/hr as I could not see from where I was if another pedestrian was coming a couple then walked right in front of the car.

The woman, who looked like she burned through a packet of ciggies within the last 5 minutes and had sagged, dirt-rotten skin and feral, untamed hair glared at me with intense hatred and shook her head shamefully, muttering swearwords with a probable personal attack on my appearance. Her partner/son had no idea what was going on. Though I believe I didn't do anything wrong because I had to slowly edge my car towards the exit as I had no way of seeing oncoming side pedestrians, her reaction for an adult woman in her late 40s was just astonishing.

She's the worst of the bogan type, I don't hate bogans because I know a couple of friends who could be considered as bogans but they are actually very friendly people and value attitudes like modesty and working hard to earn what you want. But this woman was on the foulest end of the Bogan spectrum and though I won't go saying that I'll dare to run her over next time, I'll say this - Other people like me might slow down when going out of a carpark but next time you won't be so lucky you fiend!
