That's crap. "Let's outsource to some other country that can hardly speak english and make our customer service drop further!!"

God I hate big companies like that. I remember a campaign I did when I was on the phones. People were offered a holiday as a special promotion that they didn't get, and the call centre was in Malaysia. When we got the campaign, people who were calling up were so happy to speak to someone who could speak proper english, and their cases were finally being resolved. We were so good at it that after about a month, we got dropped and it went back overseas for a cheaper price.

Vodafone is not much better. When I had to call them a few times, I couldn't understand a word of what they were saying to me. In the end I gave up. It's no wonder why company's customer service is viewed so lowly when they outsource overseas just so they can cut costs.

(As you can tell, it hits a nerve with me )

Ok this one is something else. With me down in Canberra and helping my girlfriend out with a move, so I'm limited to my smart phone.

Anyway, today I go to pay for my recent eBay wins when I discover that you can't pay for eBay wins on either the mobile site or the app when you have multiple wins from the same seller. So I log into the "classic" site, only when I get to the eBay checkout, I get redirected to the mobile Paypal website where apparently you cannot pay for eBay auctions. The same turned out to be true with the app.

Of course Paypal customer service were too busy feeding me canned lines to actually be helpful.

People could easily be forgiven for thinking that eBay and Paypal were no longer interested in making money...

I had to call 3 for an issue with my mobile interweb stick thingo. I got some dude who I could barely understand and I think he could barely understand me as well. his name was 'Dave.'

Anyway the guy had no idea about what my issue was and kept referring to my USB modem as a 'phone' and asked me if it was touch screen.... And what type it was. I told him about 4 times it wasn't a phone. Anyway, long story short the problem didn't get solved as I was wasting my time talking to him.

About a week later I got a follow up call asking me how the service was from the 'helpline' 1-10 1 being bad, 10 being excellent. I told her I wanted to put it down as zero. and she said it only goes to 1. I explained to her it was THE worst service call I had ever experienced in my life (and I have had lots of 'help centre' calls throughout various jobs and the like) and I would never call it again and was probably going to stop using the service. I did stop as well. Shame I wasted fifty bucks on a USB modem for about 2 months of usage.

She was shocked at how low I wanted to rate them. But that was about the end of it really. It was ridiculous!
