Random Custom Updates
Don't do as many customs of my own as I used to I think - Prolly due to working more and having less free time That said, there are the odd side projects I work on for myself (when not working on others' customs) and thought it'd be nice to showcase some of the ones I'm more proud of here
Some are as simple as chroming up some weapons, some are as simple as adding a balljoint to the neck cause personally it makes the TF have that much more 'personality' (you'll see below what I mean), and of course some are head-to-toe repaints with part swaps or sculpting happening - Either way I'll explain as I go along...
Roadbuster
Huzzah! The pack has arrived, and before it even got there I had given Roadbuster a balljoint upgrade! I then saw the review on youtube and discovered that I had to REMOVE what I'd done before and then add it to the new head... less work than it sounds though
Worked out very nicely in the end though!
I love how it adds more personality just by being able to look up/down

TigerTrack
I had to repaint some of this guy because I ran out of Camel Yellow paint the first time round (his shade of yellow was created by using undercoat of white primer, then a coat of camel yellow before going over with just regular (much lighter) yellow.
Just to set him apart from the future Machination Headmasters...
According to his bio he's supposed to have buggerloads of guns and weapons etc - so I gave him some from one of those kits that I bought from bbts (armored core I think) - He also has those 1/100 cast hands that I got off ptitvite.
Over the course of the past couple of weeks I have to say I've grown to like the original Sideswipe 2.0 head that I used the hate! It really works well for Tigertrack (but not for sideswipe - I've got this image of how he SHOULD look like and it doesn't work for him as is ;b)
Also silvered up other bits as you can see

PREVIEW!
Something else that I'm working on in the foreground... A No-prize will go to the person who guesses what!

Octane:
Chroming of Weapons- I had done some 'chroming' of the weapons before, but they didn't come out anywhere near as shiney as I wanted it to be - I wanted the 'comb' to actually LOOK like a chromey trailer that a truck would pull, and the way it was originally just wasn't cutting it... Heaps happier now on how it looks though
The guns are also chromed up. I'm going to leave it a little longer before transforming.
Also, by default, did you know that Octane has a balljointed head? Only problem is that it doesn't allow you to look up and down... I replaced the balljoint with one of my own a while ago, but have also touched up bits of the rest of the TF... It just brings out details of the toy - One of my favourite 2.0 Tfs

Stealth Bumblebee
Just a bunch of touchups for this guy
I like!

Optimus
This guy is from the 2-pack
And I've given him the War Within Ultra Magnus gun (Had to shave some of the handle away and ended up over-shaving... dammit) That said, I just thought these pics looked pretty cool and actiony- Should possibly throw these into the Action Pose thread or something ^^;

Nemesis Prime
This toy I got cheap while in malaysia thanks to a couple of vouchers from my godmother
(came to about $aud30) but jeebus the grey was baaaaaaaaaaaad. So, what did I do? The chroming thing!
Huzzah! He looks nice with his SHadow Commander armour too now that he has chrome-ness
^_^

Hound
He was a lil ol' playskool hound that I've tried to get closer to the cartoon model of him
Chroming was done for the bullbar and the shoulder-thing (something that was missing for the henkei release that I'm quite happy about
)

The 'Armada'
Yup - Here are the two Cyclonus-armadathings that I spiced up from their hasbro paintlessness.

Powered Convoy
Some bits about this customr worked really well (the lower legs) other bits, not so good >_>; there's paint chipping that happened cause I misassembled the guy <_< Have fixed it up pretty much now - but there's some chrome chipping that I was and still am annoyed about- will have to sand it down and do it again unfortunately- That's the beauty of doing these kinds of experiments on my own things I suppose -
