And what upsets me most about this is instead of re-using the Starscream and Jetfire models to give us the Decepticon air-force they deceided to stick in more Constructicons. Surely a different metal colour texture could have been used on the jets to give us Starscream's trine and the Coneheads?

Best quote I've seen about the Constructicon clones was in Dave Van Domelen's review: "I figure Megatron bought two sets, one to display combined and one to display individually"

I will point out that I don't have issue with Alice being at the Uni, like many do. It's not like they had to really enroll her. Anyone can show up and pretend they live in a dorm and show up to a random class.

I too was disappointed that multiple's of the constructicons appeared at the end.. they could have easily had barricade killed at the start, which would leave sideways to appear at the end.. but i guess they would still need a few more apart from the protoforms.

I didn't mind that Devastator got trounced - if you look at it like an episode of G1, it's not like he didn't get beaten easily lots of times there!

The issue the movie makers face is that The Fallen and to some degree Megatron have got to be seen as the main/end villain, despite clearly not being the strongest Decepticon - simply because the fans demanded Devastator's inclusion.

Introducing an 'unstoppable' character like Devastator is always going to require the deus ex machina device to take him out. For everyone complaining, how do you think they might handle a possible Unicron's defeat in the 3rd movie? Would you be complaining if it was just opening the Matrix like in the 1986 movie? It's just because it's live action that it seems unrealistic/disappointing to take down the big boy with one simple move.

In this sense, i think it was good that they showed Devastator was largely immobile, lending credence to the idea that he could be defeated despite his immense size.

I guess they could have made it more realistic by having an Autobot combiner defeat Devastator, but considering the amount of CGI already, it's not surprising they didn't have time or budget to do that.

I was laughing my @ss off at the bit about the poor decepticons being brutally murdered. I can picture poor demolisher now, eager to work as an excavator, untill those god-dam autobots showed up!
