I agree he is definately a bot of much stature when combined.

Actualy I like the combined mode much more than I thought I would, it's suprisingly solid. Since assembling the two I'm still yet to seperate them.

Yeah, I can transform anything pretty easily but Jetfire quite literally broke me.

What do people do in regards to the front part of the plane? The instructions show the shoulder sections touching once the arms have been folded up (steps 11-12), but that seems impossible. Even in the Youtube vids and the pics in this thread, the shoulders still aren't touching. Any hints/tips in this regard?

    beast_wars_superior:

I know the instructions show the shoulder tips touching but usually its a different story when it comes to the toy (manual may have been done with prototype versions and any last minute revisions may be overlooked, just like RotF Mixmaster and the kerfuffle over it due to the Hasbro instructions being wrong). Don't take the instructions as gospel and just work with your instincts and try to move pass points that seem erroneous.

Anyway here are a couple of pics on how I placed the shoulders:

^^Notice they aren't touching and you can see Jetfire's chin in between them.

^^That's how it's positioned side on. Note the elbow bends, making the forearms higher than the shoulder.

Hope that helps and get him to his awesome (from the top) jet mode. One of the most difficult parts is aligning the panels together, if you get that down pat, it's easy from there.
