I can't really work out what to do with Jetfire's straps in alt mode.

Stomper, in your pic, as well as in the instructions, it says to clip them together:

But it just doesn't seem to have any place to affix to. Am I missing something?

In Peaugh's video, he keeps them disconnected and the legs go over them leaving the clasps nicely tucked between his thigh and the back of his shin.

Based on my lack of finding someplace to affix them to, I've found that to be a better solution.

I'm torn on what mode to display Jetfire in now..
Really like robot, but thought of combining with Leader Prime so I can justify getting Buster Leader Prime ...

Here's my solution to Jetfire's straps:

I just fold the legs over the straps then clip them together. You'll find they'll stay very close to the body of the jet without having to actually attach to anything.
If I want your opinion, I'll give it to you

Thanks to Kyle and Sin for the inspiring pics. I'd been leaving my Jetfire in jet mode for the past week b/c I just adore the sheer scale of the toy. It's a huge jet and while it does have underbelly kibble, it's great from above and in front. It had to take a lot of pushing (which ur combo pics did!) for me to put him into combined mode. THe official pics just don't cut it.

Now, I need multiple primes and multiple Megatrons.

Got Jetfire today. That strap was bloody annoying until I eventually figured out what Fungal did.

The toy is quite the shell-former (panelformer?), but I was expecting that. The toy's not as bad as I thought it would be - I like how the main body isn't one huge massive block like on Megatron - its ability to split impressed me.

I'm having trouble combining Jetfire with Optimus Prime though. The two pegs on Prime's back which are meant to fit into the two holes on Jetfire's chest - they don't seem to line up properly on mine. The weapon and landing gear/cane are so gonna get lost by kids.

Compared to other RotF Leaders, I'd rate Jetfire as being better than Megatron but not as good as Optimus Prime. Overall it's an okay toy, but not spectacular and I don't think it's worth the full $99.99 RRP that I paid for it (unfortunately I couldn't find it on sale anywhere, and the only store that I found it in wouldn't price match). :/

I just did Fungal's method with the strap issue. They are really annoying and required a lot of stretching to get it to that position in alt mode. Especially in bot mode. Nothing to peg the "buckle" part of it neither.

Neither did it on mine. The crotch panel and peg didn't fit properly neither so I just left it off. Ironically the annoying rubber strap/belt is the most useful thing here on holding the two together.

I was looking at a Jetfire in store at Target today and while studying the box I saw the pilot name and got very excited for a moment, until I noticed I'd misread it but a touch of black paint will fix that up when I buy one.

Mine method's not that bad. Perhaps I should take photos of how I do it. I have no solution for robot mode - they just dangle. :/
