    I work at Carlo (Carlingford) Target, and I've always worked with the understanding that price matches will only happen if the competitor is within the centre, is stocking the exact same product, and said product is in stock at the competitor.

    Of course it still has to be vetted through a manager, so that general rule has no real authority unless the manager decides to do so.

    As Gok says, this usually means that there will be no price match...

    In termsf laybuy price matching, I can't really say as I've managed to get my laybys matched. Of course it probably helps that I know and get along well with the Layby staff at my store.

    Target Burwood NSW only price match regular price, not sale price. I've asked twice on two separate occasions to two different staff.
