    Default RotF Megatron

As we all remember, neither Megatron toy from the first movie was excellent, but the Voyager version was all kinds of fail.

With this in mind, I bought the current Leader version at the sales, but not the Voyager Megatron.

The Leader toy is fun enough, but the alt mode isn't very movie accurate, whereas the Voyager toy seems better in that regard.

Does anyone have both? Which is the better/more worthwhile toy? I may go and get the Voyager version as well if it seems worthwhile to do so.

Well personally I am on the fence with my figs in terms of preference. I like them both a lot more than his movie 1 versions though and I am glad to have both of them as part of my collection.

They both have their pros and cons, like Leader Megs and his left arm, or lack there of, really urks me. But the shell former style of the voyager and his odd colour palette is also is a bit of a grind. They are both pretty posable, and yes voyager does have a more accurate alt mode, even if it means he has to wear it on his back. He also not as stricken with leader Megs stick arm syndrome.

Honestly I couldn't decided between them in the shop, so I caved and brought both.

    Leader Megatron
-Reasonably screen accurate in bot mode.
-Mech-alive gimmick on this one is actually pretty cool.
    -Crappy non-articulated right arm
-Left arm too small (I can tolerate this though)
-My biggest complaint: tank mode is not screen accurate, but at least it does look like a tank.

    Voyager Megatron
-Reasonably screen accurate in bot mode. But the colour is off and now comes with back kibble.
    -Much more articulated and poseable.
    -Screen accurate arms.
-Tank mode is a lot more screen accurate in terms of shape, if you ignore the colour.

There's also a difference if you purchase Megatron purely for the toy itself, or if you purchase it to display with other ROTF toys. If you're purchasing for the later, then I would choose Leader Class over Voyager. Leader Class has good size and is imposing, looks nice standing next to Leader Class Optimus Prime.

Since you have already bought the Leader Class one, I would only get the Voyager one if you already have a Voyager Optimus Prime and Voyager Fallen. These 3 display very nicely together.

I don't understand why everyone says the leader size is not accurate? How is it not? BTW I also like the voyager mold, it's sweat and kool!

Movie Megatron has like a cybertronian Tank/jet hybrid alt mode. Pretty much a flat tank with wings and rocket engines on the back
The Voyager alt mode is pretty accurate to what it was in the movie.

The leader one is just a tank.

There will probably be a repaint of the voyager version with a more accurate silver paint job, just like the first movie voyager megs.

I prefer the Leader. It's not accurate in the alt mode but the robot mode is just plain menacing and add scale to that makes it a toy I quite like. The voyager has a lot of joints and crevices that I don't like which make stability & poseability an issue.

I have a question about leader megatrons...left leg. The peg that goes into the hole in tank mode...does not seem to fit. I have tried forcing it in, with all my strength(which isnt much mind you) and it will not go in. am I doing this wrong? or is it a fault in the mold? or is it just my figure?
