1974 Bumblebee, without black junk!
Okay, so I went and grabbed me some isopropynol, about 30 cotton buds and set aside 40 minutes.
This is what I managed to acheive:





There are still some residual bits in seams and the like, although I managed to scrape almost all of that out. The only real relic is on the rear left fender where some of the spray just didn't to move - I did manage to move most of it in this location, however.

Nice. Looks much better without the black crud on it. 
Did you spill some on the side of your Mac keyboard? It dissolved all the way down to the metal struts.

Actually, I did the cleaning in another room entirely. I just took the photos on the computer desk (:
