    Keep watching, you'll love it
The three things you mentioned you liked are the most common gripes people have with animated.

The human-ness element (and the more involved role of human characters) may take a while to get used to but keep in mind its a cartoon for little kids and all in good fun

The first season for me is the worse and very off putting. Its got a couple of shining episodes but they get drowned by a lot of crap which can be a strugle to watch. However as has been said already, the series significantly improves during Season 2 which still has is fair share of crappy episodes but these are balanced better by good above average episodes and Season 3 is generally good overall but short.

There are still Animated 'eccentricities' that one has to tolerate if you are not into that sort of thing but it becomes much easier to get used to them as the series improves.

In my opinion Animated is a very 'bipolar' series in the sense that it has some of the best episodes we have seen since Beast Wars that really stand out on their own but at the same time it has some of the worse we have ever seen, particularly in Season 1 with many episodes being 'Sari and her robot friends' with the key fixing everything and high emphasis on lame human villains.

Think of it as being like every other TF series combined into one really awesome series. It really does get better as it goes along-despite the human villains being lame, at least they give the Autobots a chance to show their stuff without turning the Decepticons into the jokes they were in the G1 cartoon.

Re: 'too-human', I don't find this a problem. I think it's kind of funny to see them adapting to Earth by watching TV and doing human things. It really sets up a contrast between Optimus Prime's crew and the almost xenophobic Cybertronian Autobots. Plus, it's not like this is a new thing (e.g. Jazz, Mindwipe being addicted to earth TV, etc.).

Think what you want to think. As long as your opinion is considered (that is, you've taken the time to think about the line, you're able to tell us why do you/don't like it), I'll respect your view on the series, and would hope others do the same.

I really enjoyed it! It was annoying and slow at times, but overall it was pretty enjoyable.

    I like it.

While some episodes and TF origins are a bit odd (such as Soundwave), overall I think it's a good Transformers franchise.

It has a charm and quality that I think has been missing since G1. A shame it is most likely ending.

If they replace it with anything Armada-ish I'm unplugging my TV antenna.

    Since Beast Wars IMO.

At the end of the day, you make your own opinion about this show (and any other series), regardless of what the rest of us think. Don't feel obliged to like or dislike a show just because most other people do.

    Look at it this way:
things could be worse - there could be no current TF cartoon series at all.

I like it and enjoy it for what it is. I have fun watching it with my my offspring.
Some of the 'new' characters are funny (Wasp; Sent Prime), some annoying (Sent Prime), some cool (Prowl FTW). Season 2&3 are definitely better than S1.
Its easier to watch than G1 cartoons (I can only sit thru 2 at a time), but no-where near as good as BW.

I find the TFA toy line a little disappointing from a quality point of view. Some good designs that seem to be a bit flimsy, with poor plastics and bits that dont fit together well.
    TF Figs of 2024:
    1) Legacy Magmatron
    2) Legacy Gears
    3) SS102 RotB Optimus
