That was probably made this year, well after ROTF was shot though. As I understand it, Jolt was slotted in late in production and post production, hence him only appearing in vehicle mode in like a couple of shots, and then randomly appearing in robot mode in other shots.

And it wasn't even Bay's idea - the writers wanted the Chevy Volt in there. Maybe GM are giving them the cars for free.... when they get around to making them, of course
