Pinkimus is not that bad a toy and is a fine replacement for people who can't buy an Encore or other reissue version of the classic figure. The shade of Red's not perfect and it's a poor show the local version doesn't have all the extras the US one does.

But why reveal in the destruction of a Transformer toy? I just don't get it.

Don't forget the shortened smokestacks and ridiculous looking oversized missiles! The colours on the trailer are also lighter than on the original G1 toy.

I would never revel in the destruction of a TF toy, not even an Animorph -- hence my suggestion of just dumping them on Archer's lawn (after they've been stolen by ninjas of course).

It's a hypothetical, a way for people who don't like Pinky to vent in a creative way. I'm not suggesting people actually do it, for the exact reasons you state. Also, $70 for something just to trash it is a bit much IMO.

1: TF-wise I'm a Decepticon at heart 'cos mindless destruction is fun, 2: It's a substandard reissue of a character which should have been much better and is just wasting space atm, and 3: it's a semi-proactive response to the stepping-on-Pinky stunt on Talkin' 'Bout My Generation.
Also I was interested to see what sort of ideas people would come up with, and which shelf-warmers they'd use. It's a variant on a game my best friends and I would play in uni where we'd buy $2 garden gnomes and belt them with bokken to let off steam...juvenile yes, but great fun.

Haha...reminds me of something me and my mates did as preteens. We'd get cheap teddys from Toyworld and torture, amputate, flaggellate and burn them. Then we'd have a funeral and burial and make a little grave with tombstone etc.
    God that was fun.

We should pool all the pikimus we can get our hands one and make a giant Optimus simply by gluing them all together. we could then sell the sculpture for more then we paid. win win

Considering there is 10000 re-issues of G1 Optimus, I have no issues with a poor reissue being broken. There are plenty of better reissues on eBay for the same price as a retail Pinkimus.

Pinkimus Prime is great. I own one. Looks a lot better than most (maybe all) of the ROTF rubbish that has come out.
