    Default Encore sticker quality

Picking up a discussion in another thread and moving it here.

The stickers on my Encore Starscream don't have much "stick". The eyes fell off very quickly and the stickers on the ribs are peeling off. The toy's been untouched for several months and is not in high temperature room or direct sunlight.

I haven't put the stickers on my most Encore toys. The only one I know for sure I have is Metroplex (who just looked too naked without them) and his stickers are fine.

Did I get a bad set with Starscream or have others have issues too?

Well, from my experience with my encores, I couldn't tell you about the stickers, as I haven't applyed any, but my Uncles encores, all teh stickers are fine, he's has Screamer since it came out and the stickers have been on it since the day he got it, hasn't had a problem. Perhaps you just got a bad batch Paul.

i've got the same problem with starscreams' eyes, they just wouldn't stick on. in the end i put a small amount of superglue on the back to keep 'em in place.

Starscreams eyes have got to be the most trouble-ridden sticker i can think of - i ended up trimming mine to fit better, a sticker that size was just never going to bend and remain stuck!

Seeker eyes stickers have been poor since G1, since the original Diaclone toys weren't designed for stickers - the stickers struggle to grip the eyes. I expect that foil stickers would have more trouble than paper ones.

Didn't have any trouble with Screamer but Thundercracker's and Skywarp's kept peeling off. And yes those eyes are terrible, they have to be trimmed to fit correctly.

I've had issues with stickers long before Encore - like the stickers on my Detritus keep peeling off, and Sunstorm's even worse. (-_-)

Stickers suck ... they should just tampo everything on reissues.

I have mentioned this before but I hate HasTak stickers. I prefer to leave them in the box and buy reprolabels instead but they have become a bit cost prohibitive in the last year.

Detritus suffers from having paper backed stickers rather than foil backed like most G1's/E-Hobby's

I don't bother with rib & eye stickers on seekers as they look better without them imo
