Got GI Joe Rise of Cobra Desert Ambush Duke today:

...primarily to reimagine him as a soldier for my movie Transformers - he's not to scale to my TFs (who aren't even to scale to each other ) but he's the same scale as Mutt Williams which I reimagine as Sam Witwicky.

I wanted to get Heavy Duty as well (not the one in the scifi suit, the other one) but thanks to Hasbro's QA the only one I found today had poorly painted eyes so I passed it. Hopefully I can find another one with better eyes before Target's Toy Sale finishes.

Well while I'm somewhat interested in the movie figures, I'm still more of a classics fan so for me the GI Joe toy release of the year arrived today.

The Cobra Island Web exclusive packs, plus last years for good measure.



Finally I can finish of Cobra's high command with Dr Mindbender, as well as add some of my favourte Vipers. While on the joe side of things I was glad to see Zap actualy has his trademark moustache ( it was missing in early pictures) while Ripcord seems to have been renamed Altitude (I blame the movie). Recondo who is really an Aussie in disgiuse, and Chuckles are also two I've been waiting for.

And best of all, more Cobra's than Joes yay!!!!!!!

Now if only they will re-make Night, Saw, and Techno Vipers then I'll have all my favourte Vipers in 25th glory.

I wanted to get a Heavy Duty to, to sub as 25th Anniversary HD, but alas it appears the badly painted eyes are standard. They really fumbled the ball on that one.

They look awesome! I used to have or play with a lot of those figures when I was a youngin'! I should get myself a reissue B.A.T. - my very first G.I. Joe figure (my original has snapped in half cos the rubber band broke Not sure if he's lost his janglies too like so many of my other ARAH Joes. (T_T)).

Hey Goktimus, I got a few spare reissue BATS if you're interested! Lol

A replacement for Epps... maybe use Ripcord? And paint/sand over his moustache? That's all I can think of. Heavy Duty just looks too off.

I was trying to avoid spending today, but....



Got Shipwreck at Target, then found the rest at Big W. The Ice Sabre wasn't in the system, so I thought I'd see what price the staff would grab for it. And luckily they grabbed the Alpha Vehicle price of $37 SCORE!

PS: I know the other items are TF's and non Joes, but the majority fit the threads criteria, and I ain't taking seperate photos damnit!

Where did you get those multi packs from Zed ?

They came from BBTS, I haven't got my credit card statement yet, but even with BBTS shipping gouging they should cost a little more than half the standard price of the current movie toys. As I'm not a MOSC collector mass figure boxes are a godsend.

As you probably noticed with Desert Duke, the new Joes have no rubber bands, that goes for the new BATs to. They are complete resculpts but extremely faithfull to the orginal toys. I have the one foor's selling If I can find my old BAT I can do a comparison pic.

Does anybody know where I can get a Sigma Six Dragonhawk? (the small figure scale big VTOL carrier thing) Preferably locally so I don't pay through the nose for shipping.

I recall that for quite awhile the Dragonhawk was dumped in Australia for low prices, but now I can't seem to find them anymore Can anybody help?
