I've never been to Osaka and you've already covered Akihabara on your itinerary. I'd also recommend Ikebukuro.
And knowing that you're trying to learn Japanese I'd also very strongly recommend that you try and speak zero English in Japan and try to exclusively speak in Japanese. Avoid the English language like the plague. It won't be hard as the majority of Japanese people don't speak English (some of them like to think they can ;p). You learn more from daily conversations than you would from months of hitting books.![]()
ooooh enjoy!, I also would like to go there, but its all in the wish list category for now...... just greet them with, ... Points to the sky... aaaaah Gojiraaaaa!!! then runs frantically hahahahahaha
youd prolly get arrested heheheh
Heroic decepticon just went a few months ago mebbe you can ask him where he went as he had a wonderful loot when he went back![]()

Hi Guys,
for anyone here who has been to japan,
can they recommend any cheap/nice places to stay or visit, look for Transformers?
I'll be frank - my partner just purchased a ticket and told me i was going this Thursday. I have virtually no plan except to visit the tokyo toy show.
I'm guessing I'll go to Tokyo and Osaka and i wouldnt mind seeing the Himeji Castle.
Cool.
HD just posted an awesome guide for shopping for Tfs in Osaka:

He also has previous posts on tokyo.. but I cant find the link right now.
How long you got? Akihabara is interesting, Shibuya, Harajuku are al close and have good shopping amoungst other things.
Lots of awesome castles and shrines in Kyoto and quite a bit around Himeji as well. I had an awesome history holiday when I was over there last!
Near Hakone in the vicinity of Mt Fuji is a sekijou. Which they rebiult, its pretty much a travellers checkpoint set up in the Tokugawa era and is fascinating to walk around. there is also one of the Toy Museums in Hakone too, but it focuses more on Tin toys and earlier.

Hi guys, I know there are probably tonnes of threads on this but unfortunately I don't have the time to go through them. I am currently in Japan, Nagoya to be exact until Monday, if anyone knows of any great TF shops here please let me know. Also I will be in Tokyo in two weeks time so same goes. Any Info will be very much appreciated.
Thanks :-)
Sorry, should have been more specific, I am a G1 collector of US and Japanese, love boxed stuff. Also collect MP's and Alt's/BT's
