Ah, that fabled Minerva. I heard the HK-ers talk about it when I was in HK in April; I heard the Singaporeans talk about it when I was in SG; I heard the Americans talk about it on TFW2005 and yet more Singaporeans talk about it. Horribly yellowed Minerva in bad box right?
Ah good, cause I dont like mapping places, I work on instinct.

And yeah that is probably the Minerva, honestly I saw the price tag and lost interest. The rare count is now Minerva, Deathzaurus, Mega Zarrack and Japanese Fort Max all at over a grand.

I bought my D-93 for $350 in 2007 and I thought that was pushing the envelop. I can't believe that Mega Zarak is over a grand. It is just Scorponok in a different box.

The original Headmaster heads in those little boxes are over 100 each, I just assume everything in those sort of windows is over priced.

And yeah I checked it is a yellow Minerva, meh!

Ghibli museum at Mitaka is great fun. A bit small, but has all the magic of the Ghibli animes and design superbly. Have fun!

The Ghibli museum is great, I've been twice now, though I'm still yet to see the Mei and the kittenbus short.

As Heroic Decep said it is a magical place, I love the room filled with Zoetropes, and other old film devices, that room with is pretty music just embodies the magic of film for me, stuff which in some ways modern digital cinema is somehow lacking.

Great place to relax, depending on your time budget you could also go for a walk in the park, and/or got to the beetle museum marked on the map at the Ghibli museum. I cant vouch for the Beetle Museum though as it was closed when I went, I will go next time, and hopefully see Mei and the Kittenbus too.

Also note the gift shop there sells some merchandise unique to the museum. And example is included in the photo below of some of my acquisitions, you can probably guess which one came from the Ghibli Museum, not to mention which came from the Museum at Ueno.

PS: Hows the weather in Japan? I just came back on Satuday and went from hot humid days to cold and dry eep.

Moderately hot, very very humid. Got totally drenched on the way back from Ghibli. HD was right, the place is small but there are certainly some must see items such as the animation carousel and cat bus room. Only thing I didn't enjoy was how much of a tourist destination the museum is. The place was packed on a 4pm session on a Monday.
