    Minimalist

Arranging TF's is an art like Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arranging), I like to make my displays a real visual treat instead of a chaotic family photograph.

Jungle. orderly jungle, half of em, well the G1, G2 MPs, Alts, Classic/uni 2.0. Chaotic sock em in till they puke domino effect for the rest - Unicron trilogy, BW, RiD, Animated, Universe 1.0/RM. Still they do look orderly... for me. Prolly would help if i got more shelves or if I didnt allot "special" shelves for some theme's I got. Gok can attest to that "weird" themes i tend to have... fembots shelf, Unicron's horde/minions, All primes, All Megs, All Sscreamers, minicons only, etc. Heck my g1 aint even arranged per date (chronological) If its G1 they just go in the G1 shelves doesnt matter which as long as its in the G1 shelving. its hard when they do go beyond 1000...

The MISB Collection is stored away, while the loose collection is an overflowing jungle.

Jungle arrangement in glass cabinets and on top of adjacent filing cabinet. I have boxed transformers sitting right up top of cabinets. All of the shelves have themes. I keep the two factions separate. I intend to have a bigger display by including a bookshelf. I will need this eventually as my collection grows. In my top shelf in wardrobe I keep more boxed transformers - which some are destined to be opened in the future.

I can't call my displays a jungle. Everything has it's place and that place changes quite often. But it's definately a long way from minimalist. One of the only rules I have with collecting toys is that everything has to be displayed. I have real trouble buying a toy to just sit in a storage box.

I used to bunch together by series and faction, arranged all pretty like in neat lines etc. Classics Autos and Cons were facing off against each other weapons drawn and so on.

But now I subscribe to the Botch-the-Crab school of TF arrangement, which can be best discribed as "all mixed up." A G1 figure beside a ROTF figure, beside a TFA, beside a BW. Decpticon beside Maximal. Robot beside an alt-mode, beside a beast mode. Some with weapons, some without.

Much the same as Botch, I find that I now pick them up more and transform them more, rather than being more worried about things like cool poses, facing-off-against-each-other arrangements, or segregation by series that influenced my TF collection before.

Only exception is G1 Dinobots who still have a shelf to themselves.

PS- really should post some pics one day...
    TF Figs of 2024:
    1) Legacy Magmatron
    2) Legacy Gears
    3) SS102 RotB Optimus

My style of display has its own name, Realm of Chaos!

The very laws of the universe are nulled in the Realm of Chaos and Transformers regularly live in harmony with Joes, Mecha and countless other denziens of the multiverse.
