You can't expect the average seller to know what is fake and what is real; most only sell on Ebay casually.

while I don't think sellers like these are purposely misleading, I'm sure they are somehow turning a blind eye or 'abstaining' from finding further facts, so they can always say "I'm not sure", "I'm no expert in this" and use that as a shield against unhappy purchasers.

Unfortunately I would have to agree with you in this instance. I have emailed the seller informing him of the 'origins' of that Shockwave, however I am yet to receive a reply and the auction is still live.

I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but this is a case of turning a 'blind eye' as you said.

This exact same drongo has in the past said (and I quote) "i am an avid collector for over 16 years and know what im talking about".

He's also infamous for taking a Fortress Maximus and having "REPAINTED EVERY SINGLE PIECE (except the red parts)". He then called it "DEEP NEAR MINT.(I PERSONALLY THINK HE IS MINT BUT PEOPLE JUDGEMENTS DIFFER SO I WROTE NEAR MINT)" and said "if you want an item that can qualify for an AFA grading then u came to the right place". He believed that someone could AFA grade a Fortress Maximus that he's vandalised and that in the process of his vandalism he somehow made it mint.
