From memory, two of the most abundant AFA graded figures out there are Optimus and Ultra Magnus. I've seen a few AFA80-90 UM's sell for about $800-1000. Even if this is the highest graded in the world, $15,000 is

    Here's an AFA85 for only $850.

did you also see this part of the description?

"SHIPPING IS FREE, BUT HANDLING FEES ARE NOT. HANDLING FEES CONSIST OF BOX, PACKING MATERIAL, TRANSIT TIME TO AND FROM THE POST OFFICE, DELIVERY AND SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION. INSURANCE IS A SEPERATE FEE. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THERE OWN TRACKING NUMBERS!" (emphasis added)

clearly this seller has a few screws loose

Have a read of the question bit at the bottom of the page:

Q: I have a serious question. Have you ever sold a transformer for a huge amount of money such as this one for $15,000? I have a bunch of them and I was wondering if getting this kind of money was possible. Mar-09-10

A: Good morning thank your interest in our G1 AFA 95 Ultra Magnus Auction! We do apreciate your question. Yes, we have sold many in recent memory. We have moved various, truly high end collectibles such as this one. We have a elite group of buyers, who are interested in buying rare (1/1, 1/2, 1/3 ) and high graded items ( 90's or higher ). Depending on what you want to have in your collection and the price being right anything is possible. If you dont mind us asking, what G1 Transformers do you have? Thank you Customer Care Division google us : getmoneyincorporated
Maybe you should send him a list of your stuff that you want to offload HD, who knows, you may get $15k or more for them!

What I don't understand at all about this AFA stuff is... why would anyone pay big money for an AFA graded anything - in this case Ultra Magnus - when if you really wanted one you could just buy a MISB Ultra Magnus for a fraction of the cost, get it AFA graded yourself for a fraction of the cost, and save hundreds of (or in this case a thousand) dollars. The inflated AFA rates on eBay make no sense.
