Hmmm... maybe but I suspect not. Hasbro's long lost the rights for Shrapnel because Robot Heroes Shrapnel was called Insecticon. While "Sharpshot" still royally sucks, it does suck less than Insecticon. Maybe. At least with "Hardshell" they're still trying to make _some_ kind of effort to at least preserve part of the original Bombshell name.
Quite frankly if they're trying to avoid any names related to war or violence then they would need to stop using a LOT of old skool Transformer and G.I. Joe names like Devastator, Rampage, Brawl etc.
This reminds me of how Beast Wars was called "Beasties" in Canada because they didn't want the word "war" in the childrens' TV show, and how UK censors thought the word "ninja" was too violent so TMNT were called TMHT* there. If you're right then this just another reason why I've never liked how Hasbro keep insisting on marketing G1 reissues at children, unlike Takara(TOMY) who directly market it to adults. (-_-)
