feedback for this pic please

a certain someone wanted me to design a set of beastwars type characters... i'm having trouble pulling off 'robotic' looking animals. Pic is not finished. pen died. any feedback you can give me about making something look beastwarsy may help!
i continuely tell this person that there list of what they want, can't be done (esp considering what they using it for). i'g get sued for breach of copyright, from shapes, names to colours, but it doesn't seem like its getting through. so any help. feedback please.
