He didn't say the script was complete at all. Hence "Day 1".

He probably wrote the script on a napkin while he was waiting for his lunch.

    I can so picture that!

*michael bay writing* Transformers 3, by me!

    scene 1: boring hyooman stuff
    scene 2: more hyooman stuff
scene 4: ooh ooh! big fight with big robots and explosions and stuff!
scene 5: more explosions and giggly body parts (remember to memo megan)

    Teh end!

I'm guessing a Actors strike, is going to hit between scenes 2 and 4 ...

Anyway hope, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are back as writers.

Don't blame Bay for the script - that's Orci and Kurtzman's department. Hopefully he won't _mess_ with the script as much as he did with ROTF. As Ben Yee said, Bay's not a bad director for Transformers, but he really should just stick to his job as a director and let the writers do the writing.

Great... well, the important part has been worked out - the release date... nevermind about that silly little pointless thing called a script!

    This is terrible news...

When will this pain end? I couldn't be less excited about a TF movie if I tried... and I'm a fan!

Well, that's kinda the point tho isn't it... I mean, on one hand you say don't blame Bay for the script, but he's the director... his little "additions" (such as Devastator's balls, for example) were his idea. And, IMO, these additions were what really made ROTF one of the worst films ever made.

So... who are we supposed to blame?

ROTF was a classic example of everybody passing the buck when it came to blame. In the end, Bay is the director and the buck HAS to stop with him!!! If it's a great film - he must get accolades. If it's a crap film - he must get criticism!!

    Unfortunately Bay doesn't do that.
