Why are there no G1 styled weapons for Universe/Classics?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but why has no company, such as Fansproject or iGear or one of the others, released G1 styled weapons to go with Universe/Classics figures?

I realise there have been a couple of awesome attempts at compatible weapons with the Gears of War pack and the G3 Trailer but I am thinking more along the lines of iconic weapons in a G1 style. Namely Prime's G1 gun

Marauder John from Marauder Inc. makes fantastic guns to suit 1/18th scale figures (G.I.Joe) so isn't it possible for someone to make ones to suit Transformers?

With Universe coming back next year and a basic lack of weapons currently available for previous releases it would be fantastic for a company (or someone willing to start a possible business) to release compatible G1 styled weapons. I know very little about the molding process but it would have to be easier than some of the exceptional things other smaller companies are doing.

With out trying to make a wishlist there is Prime's gun, Grimlock's sword and gun, Jetfire's gun, Hot Rod's dual guns and Starscream's nullifiers. There has to be a market for items like this.

Does this tread to close to KO territory (like the iGear downsized MP Prime/Megs) or closer to upgrades/add-ons (like Fansproject CC add-ons)?

There has been a Prime gun done/in the works, I just cant remember where.
Someone else here might remember.
