the age ol tv + settop box + dvd recordersigh

if i connect Y/R/W cables from tv to dvd and tv to stbox

can i then connect set top box to dvd using B/R/G video and W/R audio?

i got it all connected but the reception on dvd player is bad
the arial is connected to the settopbox and then a cable goes through to the dvd

sorted all that but now the settop box isnt working just a blue screen and nothing has changed just be needing the signal strength stronger?

are you wanting to record from STB to the DVD?

got it all sorted and working, had a guy over to check it its all good. But why does it go to blue screen sometimes? is it the signal strength

Either that or a fault in the connection somewhere. Hard to diagnose without seeing the gear or knowing who made the gear
