Default Mint in Box and Battery Acid

I have most of the 2007 movie series mint in box and plan to keep them that way. The problem I have is some of them have batteries in them e.g. Leader class prime and Megs. Batteries in time generally start to leak acid and that obviously is a bad thing.

I’m wondering if the acid factor would change if I run the batteries flat by continually pressing the demo buttons through the box. I have no idea. Who here is or has been in a similar predicament? Can anything be done to minimise the battery acid leakage over time apart from removing the figure out of the box. What style of batteries does 2007 leader class have?

You will still need to remove the batteries. flat or fully charged there is a chance they could still leak. Its basically just a container full of lovely acid that can still leak regardless of charge. the acid is always there....sorry

If you want to maximise the battery longevity and stave off the leakage I suggest you keep your tfs in cold storage. Either that or try to keep them in conditions that are as cool and dry as possible.
