I discovered the hard way that the NTSC (US) Power Glove does not work with Australian consoles due to a voltage difference in the controller port.

You have just answered a question that has plagued me for almost 20 years! I had a chance to buy the glove as a kid when I was in LA but instead bought a Lego castle. I regretted it as soon as I got home but you have just made me instantly be grateful to my 10 year old self haha.

From a kid's perspective back in the 80s, the Lego Castle was the wisest choice for sure.

The Power Glove is cool and has become a symbol of the 1980s but as a practical gaming device, specially for kids.. it isn't good..

As mentioned, it has a huge learning curve which would first make it seem as if it doesn't work properly and even once you master it, you gain nothing that a regular controller can already do more effectively. So it is basically there just to impress your friends either by owning it or by showing off your 'Mad Skillz' when they visit if you are inclined to train yourself on it.

Would still loved to have tried it at least once though, even if, by the sound of it, it is not very practical.

Anyone playing Super Mario Maker? Game is fantastic, i'm completely addicted (wishing i had more spare time mind you). Would love to share some of my creations if anyone's got it.

Was watching some stuff on it today. Between it, Splatoon, MK8 and a few others, the reasons to buy a Wii U are mounting!

Bought it yesterday from GamesMen on a whim. I only played it for a little bit but very much enjoyed it.

I made a couple of simple levels just for amusement. However that weird lanky Mario weirds me out.

Don't forget DKCR and Yoshi's Woolly World. Hyrule Warriors is well worth a mention and of course Smash bros!

I don't like that you don't get everything at the start. Gotta play a bit each day to unlock things.

Anyone made a level? I've made one and uploaded it. Should post the code here tonight.
