To all PS3 owners, have any of you tried this? The Eagle Eye by Penguin United - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vhvwb49v9k8

I'm looking at all the reviews of this device on youtube and all seem to use FPS games to test the devices accuracy, but I would like to see some gameplay of some 3rd person shooters but I can't seem to find any.

Seriously considering getting a PS3 slim atm.

For price comparison though, I remember buying a disk game for the commodore for $40. I forked out $110 for Sonic and Knuckles when it first came out, and Landstalker on the Megadrive cost me $150!! I think because it was first 32meg cartridge game. There's no way I would pay $150 for a normal game now. Maybe if it was a really cool special edition, or a rare Saturn game with historical significance *cough* Final Fight Revenge *cough* $180.....[/QUOTE]

Yeah I remember buying Mortal Kombat 2 on the mega drive for $115 when it first came out and some people buying Super Street fighter 2 for about $150. Insane but at the time we were all willing pay that much for the games lol.

Gametraders is having a sale on right now on pre-owned games. Well, mine is at least (Gametraders Marion SA); I bought Tribes Vengeance and Serious Sam for $10 total. Started playing Tribes; I predicted the storyline from the first 2 levels and confirmed myself right by looking on Wikipedia >_< - otherwise, fun game. Kind of a lame unoriginal tragic storyline but fun to play; FPSing with jetpacks? What more could you ask for?

Haven't played SS yet... ...what did you guys think of it (if you have played it?)

ANd back then most games weren't forgiving with continues, making players have to repeat the entire game again and again for weekends on end until they perfectly made their way to the end of the game - thus making those expensive games worth every dollar.

Aaar, the controversy about the blood when MK1 came out. And it will happen again with the new MK. Like a wierd, gossippy circle with too much time on its hands....

Yeah, Nintendo really shot themselves in the foot with that one. They had the superior version but left out the blood My mate had one of those 'gamesharks' (?) which could turn the sweat into red sweat It just wasn't the same though

Apparently there's going to be a Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Collection release on the PS3 soon (has HD of MKs 1-3); it has HD sprites made fresh from casting new actors apparently. And also includes a demo of Mortal Kombat 9. I haven't bought a PS3 yet but now's a damn good reason to!!

    This

The release date has already passed and there has been no official confirmation from WB leading to speculation that it has either been canned or never really existed.

I hold the hope that it will come out - probably next year, however I can't see WB deliberately taking the focus away from MK9 with two MK releases in the same year. It is more likely to be packed with MK9 as a special edition.

Picked up Donkey Kong Country returns yesterday. Very nice! Good old school feel. Although I do hate the way Nintendo games rarely allow you to use a non-shake controller in most of their games. Surely they could program all games to be played with the classic controller as well as wahtever else. It can't be that hard.

I have to say though, DKCR isn't so bad with the motion controls, all you need to shake is for a gorund pound, blowing move and for the attack roll. Problem I have always found with the attack roll is due to the slight delay from shake to roll, I often cop a hit... Why can't I press a button like I am used toooooo?
