Oh it stands up great, but i mean i've played through it like 10 times already over the years! Several on N64, several on Gamecube bonus discs...

Just cause it's a huge time sink, i struggle to find the motivation to play all the way through nowadays.

Believe me, I have played it just as much if not more. I still love it. However I played it on Master Quest on 3Ds not standard so that could have made it a fresher experience for me.

I do understand when it comes to time - Took me like 3 months to finish Skyward Sword just because I only got to play it on weekends and even that time was at a premium. It is the sort of games that you can't just play an hour or so per day but dedicate hours to progress anywhere - Similar to Skyrim.

I love Skyrim but it became too much of a sink hole so I had to quit.

Wasn't Master Quest on the 3DS version only available after you finished the regular one? If it was unlocked right away, i'm sure would have done that too. Though i played some of Master Quest before on Gamecube anyway!

Skyward Sword is on what i like to call my "retirement pile".
Games i'll get to when i actually have some time!

Bought Ocarina 3DS second hand and someone had already finished it - Even if you delete the existing games, it still allows you to choose if you want to start regular game or Master Quest

That was the first time I ever played Master Quest so it was a fresh experience to me. I had finished Ocarina on N64 god knows many times and at least a couple of times on Project64.

I7m currently playing through Master Quest on 3DS. I bought the Gamecube versions of MM and OoT when I had my Wii, and remember playing through OoT on that, but never got far into Master Quest. I think the Gamecube controller put me off too much.

Quite enjoying MQ now though, its surprisingly different but I am not finding the bosses all that challenging so far.

Yeah the bosses only hit harder but are otherwise the same. However mirroring the whole world and having regular enemies inflict greater damage along with re-designed dungeons do add to a fresher experience. The mirroring alone made it seem kind of new as everything looked different.

Yeah, that's for sure. I ALWAYS head the wrong way after starting the game from Link's house now.

When I first started playing, I didn't realise it was mirrored until I notice Link was right handed! I just had this feeling "that something was different"

How's this for a game trailer:

    Overwatch

It would make an awesome movie.

Pity gameplay looks average at best.
