I am dancing around the idea of buying a PS4. The recent price drop and new model release puts some good deals out there. Missed a really good Target/Ebay deal earlier this week.
Haven't quite decided on which size hard drive to get, but if it's not too more expensive to get the largest size I'll probably do that.
The idea has crossed my mind but there really isn't a good amount of exclusive games in it's library I would be interested in to justify the upgrade.
After I played all the exclusives I was interested in, the main purpose of my PS3 is to watch movies and that's what it has done for the vast majority of its life. I am pretty sure those media features on the PS4 are not that much different.

wow awesome purchases benny ... i use too buy all the limited edition stuff as well but i ran out of space to put them ... and most of them arent that good of quality either ....
The Ps4 deal is good now ... with some places like bigw offering it for 350 .... and i think 500GB is plenty for storage as you can always delete the game that you don't play anymore ..but your saves is still there .. that around min 5 large games already ....really how many games do you play at any give time? .. you can always d/l or reinstall the games any time you want anyway ...
But if your a gamer , then it be a good investment now as it still a new platform so it would be in use for many years to come... and i dont see the price dropping any more then that for about a year from now if we are lucky... i actually bought it for $360 last year from dicksmith online sale .... and it still that price a year later ....
Looking For: Wreckers Saga TPB Collection (with Requiem)
I bought a 1tb Xbox One recently before the price drop of the 500gb versions. At the time it was only a $50 difference between the 2 HD sizes so just went for the larger one which was more value for the price. With the price drop I would definitely lean towards the 500gb if I was buying now.
Edit: funny thing as well is that the day we brought home the Xbox One, the 360 packed it up and gave us the dreaded ring of death. Well I like to think that the old machine hung on as long as it could then finally let go when something else was able to replace it.![]()
i really like the streaming feature of the xbox one to windows 10 ... it works seamlessly ....![]()
I figure the price has got to a pretty sweet spot and the deals have been pretty good.
I think my PS3 has had more of a run as a Bluray, and lately Netflix, player too. I'm about done with my backlog of PS3 games finally getting around to playing through Portal 2, South Park and The Last Of Us.
TBH there's not that many PS4 games I want to buy right away, I want to play the new Arkham game, the new Assassins Creed. I'll probably buy the PS4 version of Transformers Devastation. The new Uncharted should be out soon and if I got the collection in a bundle that wouldn't be bad. Got a while for the Tomb Raider game though.
Hmm, thinking of it that way maybe a bit more of a wait isn't the worst thing.![]()
I bought the new 500gb PS4 model for $349 from K-mart this week. I doubt it'll get any lower in price until they launch the next edition. I do still have a few scraps to finish off on the PS3 - it helps that I don't have any games for the PS4 yet.
Previously mid-year toy sales Big-W had PS4's for $399, that was before the new model launched though. Online for the past few months there have been intermittent bundles and deals bouncing around the $400 mark.
