Honestly if it was backwards compatible, I'd have already bought one. Having a mate who has one has helped as I've been able to play the latest Batman and Shadows of Mordor. Infamous Second Son and MGS were great too. So having them already (partially) played helps sate the appetite!

Actually if it were backwards compatible, that would also incite me to buy one more.

Is there any strategy or something with the PS4 that you can get credit for games you already own in the PSN store? That way you can download the PS3 games you already have on the PS4 without having to have both consoles.

Me three. Maybe I'll just bite and get the TF game for the PS3 for now. I know that the PS4 games I want to play will still be available in a year's time.

    Me four.

I never had a GC, so it was one of the main reason I got a Wii. Went out and also bought a bunch of GC games. Same thing happened when I got a PS2 (bought a lot of PS1 games).

So, I'm almost about to buy a PS4. But my mate is now trying to talk me into setting up a gaming PC instead.

    I must admit it's tempting.

Gaming PC is going to be better in the long run. I just bite the bullet and get both every time I upgrade

Your friend is wise. Listen to him.

Most games that are multiplatform will run and look best on a properly specced PC and if you buy properly, shouldn't be much more than 1k, perhaps less.

I would only have a PS4 on the side of the PC if you are interested in the exclusives.

Also for those narrow view people who don't get it - You can play PC games on your living room while sitting on the couch with controllers. If you choose to sit at a desk with a small screen, that's your business. You can also plug in a PS4 to a small desk and monitor and play it if inclined - It's a choice not a rule.
