Sweet Hezoos! rampagesss gots himself a Hasbro G1 Overlord - which I believe was released in Australia but in obscenely limited quantities making him really frikkin' rare! I swear that there are more fans in Australia who own Takara Overlords than those who own Hasbro Overlords! Good score rampagesss! (^0^)

Was it from eBay? As I was bidding on one from eBay that looked like this but lost out (but happier to lose to an Ozformer than someone else )

I wouldn't pay extra to get a Hasbro Overlord. I still find it hilarious that the version of Overlord that _was_ released in Australia is now more expensive and harder to find than the version that was only released in Japan. Overlord's not a priority for me, but I'll get whichever version is cheaper and easier to find... so probably the Japanese one.

...come on TakaraTOMY... give us Encore Overlord!!

Thanks to the Toys R Us sale I got me an animated voyager optimus prime... and I am VERY happy with it. Only niggles are the lack of neck movement and the axe. It's just too big. Love the water pistol though.

I don't like how the strobe lights can't lock into place in robot mode. I gotta be conscious to keep my thumb on it when I play with it otherwise it keeps flopping around, but this isn't always possible when you're making him do quick action poses (cos you're using both hands to move the rest of his body). It's so annoying. The lack of an Autobot insignia also irks me, and that spinning transformation gimmick also doesn't impress me. :/ I agree that the axe is fail. Ummm... the neck does move though (horizontal rotation). I like the faceplate gimmick... not quite as effective as Cybertron Optimus Prime because you can still see the plate when it's retracted, but unlike Cybertron Prime Animated Prime has a visible neck! So considering this toy's aesthetics I think it was done well. I also like how he has a gun! So few Animated Autobots have guns.

If you ever get the two pack Animated prime Snaketales, just snipe the axe from it and give it to V. Prime it fits him perfectly and oh so better looking.
The neck does move side to side only.
