You wouldn't find G1s in regular Japanese toy stockists (e.g.: department stores); you'd have to go to specialist collectable stores and their prices wouldn't be cheap either.
Check this place out... feel like paying 70000JPY ($857) for Computron?


Anyway, I got my first December acquisition today! Picked up the grey Megatron トランスフォーマー shirt from Jayjays today.

Yeh I agree. When I was in Akihabara earlier this year, I checked out the specialty shops and looked at a few G1 boxed examples but they we're very expensive and obviously with online shopping so accessible, I couldn't help think of what I could get cheaper and not have to haul it back home undamaged.

I found the Takara reissue # boxes we're very expensive, you'll most likely pick up a better deal of Ebay than a day in Akiba. There are some limited release figures that were tempting, but not tempting enough at exorbitant prices.

Standard ROTF was pretty pricey too, in Toyworld and Yodobashi camera, you sort of expect it to be cheaper but its regular Toyworld prices. I did manage to pick up some MP seekers cheap because of "a damage boxo" and some cheap Henkei in the cheap shops down the backalleys.

Although I saw this Metal Gundam figure that I really like, it was very expensive so I passed on it but it has stayed with me for a while so I'll have to scratch that itch I think

Picked up ROTF Legends Soundwave and Wheelie!! Wheelie is AWESOME!!! Soundwave is very... meh!

I just wanna go there to see the cherry blossom festival, but since its prime holiday season at that time in Japan , flight costs would prolly be prohibitive, and also I wouldnt be able to communicate with most of the locals would frustrate me even more

ah well, prolly would have cheap stuff if we knew when is their toysale there or something...
